"Airing Out The Laundry

Laundry

I promised myself I wouldn't get behind on laundry ever again. Well I made that promise last week and I am already behind 4 or 5 loads. How do two people produce so much dirty laundry?! Laundry isn't something we normally like talking about unless its about the  chocolate ice cream stain we got out by using our Grandma Dorothy's home remedy. I would like to think a schedule would work for me like one load everyday but somehow I get caught up with all the other jobs. And honestly I'd prefer doing dishes rather then doing laundry.
Enough about "real" laundry... I'd say most women like to or they do "air out" other people's "dirty laundry." Why do we do that? I really don't know. Here are some reasons I think

 1.  it makes us feel better. "If she is doing THAT then I am really ok doing This."
 2.  it is fun/funny. "Did you see that picture of her?? Hilarious!"
 3.  it is something to talk about. "{awkward silence} So did you hear about her?"
 4.  it seems as if we are helping. "Pray for her. She is cheating on her boyfriend."

Not all women fall into one of these categories but I'd say the majority does. I am not perfect by any means. I think I fall into all of the categories above. This is something I struggle with ( & really bad in high school) but now that I am becoming the "dirty laundry" I now realize it is not fun and can be very hurtful. Enough dirty laundry talk for one night.

The Start

{Simple} Life, {Simple} Wife

Hello to everyone! I am not much of a writer but I figured this would keep me busy until summer.

About Me

I won't bore you with a bunch or boring details about myself but anyways I am 20 years old and married to the most perfect guy there is (ok, that's stretching it) but he is amazing. We started dating 5 years ago. He was a senior in high school and I was a sophomore. We went to a tiny private school (that is how we met) & it was love at first sight. Just kidding! It was the opposite of that! Anyways, 5 years later we ended up with this big beautiful wedding (pics below). We are perfect for each other (or at least I think so).

Our life together

We tied the knot in back in August! It was amazing! I loved my wedding. But now I have found being a wife is a little more challenging then what I thought it would be. Here are few things that stress me out! 1. LAUNDRY! Who is with me? I hate doing laundry probably because I have to do it in our unfinished basement (that is our project for next winter). 2. BUDGET! I have a love/hate relationship with our budget. When I find good deals I am all like, "Wow! I'm amazing at this budget thing." but when I am sick of looking and just want to buy I am like, "Can't we be millionaires, it would be so much easier!" And lastly I stress out over... 3. TIME! I can't control it so why even stress about it, right? Well, I was raised with by a family who was always on time and we were taught how to use our time "wisely." And my husband was raised by a family where time really didn't matter. If you were late you were late, oh well! And he is a huge procrastinator. This blog will be mostly about daily challenges we face as wives & all our other roles we play.
